One Billion Rising Revolution 2016: Interview with Eve Ensler

The American playwright, performer and activist Eve Ensler, best known for her play The Vagina Monologues, was in Hong Kong recently to join with hundreds of domestic workers and their supporters participating in the One Billion Rising Revolution. Ensler, as a prominent activist, spearheaded V-Day, the global movement to stop violence against women and girls. In 2012, Ensler together with the V-Day movement, founded One Billion Rising, a global protest campaign to end violence and promote justice and gender equality. During the annual protest event, women and men around the world held protest dance action to demand an end to social and domestic violence against women and girls.

Through her art and social activism Eve Ensler has won numerous awards and recognitions from the Tony Awards, Guggenheim, Sundance Film Festivals, City of New York and dozen others.
